Full text of a talk awarded Best Speaker by audience vote—somewhat surprisingly, because I didn't hold back—at the 40th Libertarian Seminar held in November 2025 in Cape Town
I think it was a one of David Hughes videos where I heard the repurposing of PTSD from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to include Pre Traumatic Stress Disorder. I don't think I'm alone in imagining the traumatic situation we are all rushing headlong into.
And here in Canada the illusion of democracy is dead. This whole country is a front. But the majority are fast asleep and nobody wants to talk about it. We are literally burying our dead in silence
And I thought anti globalist Nigel's Reform Party, recruiting mainly grass root candidates in the UK, were talking the talk. But your global assessment means they're impotent at best?
The desperate attempt to keep the working class in check includes the creation of numerous fake populists, of which Trump and Farage are examples. They will do a few showy things, that will be massively promoted—something around healthcare or the trans phenomenon—but when it comes to the key globalist trajectories, they'll be all aboard. This is uniparty stuff.
Re: solving problems, I wonder what you make of Jay Valentine's essay and, indeed, de-centralization at faster speeds, and the opportunity for short-selling, given your business interests. (No free investment advice sought!)https://subst***.com/home/post/p-181947116
Interesting article, and I concur with almost all of it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm a private equity investor in South Africa, so neither short selling nor US stocks are in my sights, but the thing I'd worry about when it comes to short selling a stock like Oracle is that the combination of CIA origins and criminal control of central bank actions could create a situation where the stock is artificial supported for longer than I can stay solvent. But the whole AI industry is a massive scam and at some point they'll be firing blanks, by which time they may have rolled everything into someone unwitting pensioner's portfolio, such are their methods.
Wonderfully clear exposition of humanity's current predicament. Happily, this too shall pass. Deus Vult.
I've just watched Nick discussing the speech with Neil Oliver on GBNews Originals via YouTube. Recommended.
Agreed. High marks!
you should consider recording yourself reading this. Then podcasts can upload it.
Thanks. Miri does that to great effect.

Clear and concise as always; thanks, Nick.

So, one must then hope for Vladimir Putin to be a winner against the collective west?
